Vertigo & Headaches
Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo, otherwise known as BPPV, is a common condition causing dizziness and is regularly misdiagnosed. You may be suffering from BPPV if you have experienced:
- dizzy spells
- vertigo
- nausea
- poor balance sensation of the world
- spinning
This condition is often brought on by simple acts of getting in and out of bed, rolling over in bed, or tilting your head to look back. Once correctly diagnosed, BPPV can be treated effectively by our Physiotherapists. Our Physiotherapists are trained in the appropriate treatment modalities to help ease and relieve BPPV related symptoms.
We will provide you with education on the cause of the condition, as well as environmental modifications you can make to help assist with the symptoms. Additionally, we will provide you with a home exercise program that can help with your symptoms.
