Neurological Physiotherapy involves the treatment of conditions involving the brain, spinal cord, or nerves. There are many impairments associated with neurological conditions, including, reduced mobility, poor balance, decreased muscle strength, muscle stiffness, decreased range of motion, and poor coordination. Physiotherapy can play a vital part in the assessment of these conditions, identifying impairments, and most importantly developing rehabilitation programs to address these impairments.

Cardiorespiratory Physiotherapy involves the treatment of conditions that affect the heart and lungs. Our Physiotherapists are trained in the treatment of these conditions and the associated impairments that may include, shortness of breath, persistent coughing, increased work of breathing and reduced capacity to exercise. Our Physiotherapists can assist with: Deep breathing exercises to improve lung volume, Percussions and Vibrations to help loosen secretions, Coughing and breathing strategies to help remove secretions, as well as mobility exercises to ensure you move safely and confidently.

  • Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)
  • Asthma
  • Bronchiectasis 
  • Emphysema
  • Congestive Cardiac Failure (CCF)
  • Respiratory Infections (eg. Pneumonia)

We can also refer you to our trained Exercise Physiologists who are specialists in the management of these conditions and can help develop an exercise program to get your impairments under control.
