Coasties Diabetes is educator Nikki Witney (RN CDE), who believes the more you understand about your diabetes the easier it is for you to manage.
Based on the Central Coast, their services cover all suburbs so they can provide a service designed to fit the needs of the local community. Coasties Diabetes offers flexible appointments during the day and after-hours for maximum convenience to fit around your busy life.
About Nikki Witney:
Nikki is a Registered Nurse and Credentialed Diabetes Educator with a Graduate Certificate in Diabetes Education and Management. She is currently continuing her study and completing a Masters of Nursing and a Graduate Diploma of Human Nutrition.
Nikki is originally from Scotland but has worked in the UK, USA and Canada before moving to Australia in 2004. Nikki has worked in diabetes management centres throughout Sydney before starting Coasties Diabetes. She has experience providing diabetes education and management advice covering all types of diabetes, including the management of people on insulin pumps or multiple daily injections, continuous glucose monitoring and flash technology. Nikki is also an accredited pump and CGM trainer for both Medtronic and Animas.
Nikki is passionate about her role as a Diabetes Educator and aims to inform, guide and support patients through all aspects of their diabetes journey ultimately affording them the tools to manage their diabetes with confidence.

Our unique advantage is our collaborative multidisciplinary team. We are fortunate to have Physiotherapists, Exercise Physiologists, Orthopaedic Specialists, Massage Therapists, and Psychologists, who all work under one roof. This allows us to closely work together to provide our patients with a true collaborative management plan addressing all Biopsychosocial factors. This allows our patients to get access to the leaders in their fields to ensure they get the best care possible.
In addition to this, we have access to an extensive range of specialist equipment in our onsite functional rehabilitation centre. Our fully equipped and functional rehabilitation gym houses specialist equipment which is specific to the rehabilitation of certain injuries. With 35 years of excellent service on the Central Coast, Hills Street Sports Medicine is one of the longest established multi-discipline Sports Medicine Centres in Australia.
